Gina Paulhus lives and breathes health and fitness. Movement has always been a passion of hers. As of late, she focused much of her time on helping individuals heal their own bodies from diastasis recti, pelvic floor issues, hernias, and back issues through exercise - not surgery. She pairs her Nutrition Certification with her exercise specialties to truly offer a one-stop shop for her clients. Gina lives the very same lifestyle she preaches for her clients and serves as an excellent example to help inspire you to reach greater heights.
Gina Paulhus had a vision back in 2003 that people at home could enjoy the services of a personal trainer without having to join a gym. While home workouts are tremendously popular today, virtually no one did them back then! Gina was truly a trailblaiser. 20 years later this vision has never been stronger, and Gina has enjoyed bringing her sessions to an increasingly diverse group of people via video call training.
Gina Paulhus has always known that effective workouts completed at home could make it easier for busy people to consistently show up for workouts. She and her staff have helped thousands of clients who wanted to find an achievable, sustainable fitness solution to complement - not take over - their lives. This isn't a boot camp that comes and goes - it's a sustainable practice that works for the long haul.
Going back to how Home Bodies started - Gina wasn't sure if she would continue working in her main passion, which was fitness, or pursue a Masters degree in psychology to become an Clinical Psychologist. In late 2003 one of Gina's clients made such an astounding turnaround in her life through her fitness achievements that Gina became convinced fitness was her true calling. Gina felt that she could make a bigger difference in the world helping clients via fitness than she could in the mental health space.
With a start-up budget of $600 and still in school, Gina purchased some office supplies, small pieces of fitness equipment, business cards, and the necessary licenses to open up her in-home personal training service for business. While many of her friends were signing their initial corporate paychecks, Gina had no idea where her first client would come from.
Fast-forward to one year later, and Gina is publishing her first book, Mind Over Fatter, a 325-page resource about the physical AND mental aspects of nutrition and training. Gina put her degree from UMass to good use here! Skip ahead to two years later - January 2006 - and Gina continued to train clients herself as well as manage her fleet of Home Bodies trainers. Gina personally has helped over 900 individuals lose weight, firm up, feel more comfortable in their bodies and have more energy than they have had in years. Her website content and Newsletter are consumed in even larger numbers worldwide.
In 2019, Gina published her second book Change Your Weighs and that book reached #1 in Amazon's new releases in her category. Watch Gina's appearance on the television show Point of Reference with Frank Novak where she gives highlights from her book.
Gina became Certified as a Nutritionist in 2020. She began studying the teachings of Dr. Sarah Duvall of CoreExerciseSolutions.com and became Certified in Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise in 2021. She was published on Tony Gentilcore's blog for her knowledge on Healing Diastasis Recti naturally in 2022.
Today, Home Bodies is 19 years old. Gina's drive and ambition that she has applied to creating and growing her business is the same drive and ambition that allows her to keep herself in amazing shape year-round - Gina has recently become an influencer for fitness apparel including Vuori Clothing.
Gina also has utilized fitness and nutrition to overcome many serious health problems and to remain competitive in gymnastics decades past the time most gymnasts retire. She since launched an Adult-Only Gymnastics Camp, the first of it's kind. Like with home workouts, Gina has been a trailblaser for adult gymnastics, taking charge of the movement to expand accessibility for adults in the sport in 2017. She took the helm after Jessica O'Beirne, creator of the most popular Gymnastics Podcast in the world - Gymcastic, was looking for a predecessor. Gina has since created a Facebook Group over 11,000 members strong and helped so many athletes achieve access to training that they never had before. She will inspire you and motivate you to make similar astonishing changes in your life. And her trainers have similarly amazing stories! Read more on them below.
Gina has taken on a leadership role in the Pregnancy and Postpartum Community. She offers online support to women recovering from diastasis, hernia, or pelvic floor issues via Dr. Sarah Duvall's online program. Gina used the programming herself to recover from a couple of large hernias. Read more about Gina's hernia and diastasis recovery here.

"I have a love for training and nutrition that motivates me to continue to learn more about these topics all the time. I adore helping people. Having a personal training business has been a dream come true for me. Seeing the look on my client's faces as they achieve things they never believed they could do is what makes my day. My specialties include creating nutrition plans for special circumstances such as plant-based diets or diets for post-menopause as well as helping those who suffer from chronic pain to be able to exercise and feel good in their bodies once again. I also love creating super-efficient routines for busy professionals."

"I have been lucky to work in fields that follow my passions: fitness and food! I have been a professional chef for the last 13 years, catering to many clients with an interest in healthy meals (and let's not forget the word "delicious!").
I am a big proponent of functional training- that is, exercises that mimic or enhance our everyday movements. With my total body approach, I have been able to help my clients, not only to become more cardio-fit, strong and toned, but also to achieve balance and coordination...something very important as we age!
My enthusiasm, hands-on experience and knowledge of diet and exercise would be an enhancement to anyone's workout."
"I am an expert personal trainer who is well-known for my work helping clients rehabilitate injury, recover from illness as well as prevent the occurrence of injury and illness when training. I also specialize in coaching clients to achieve weight loss both through exercise and proper nutrition. I love helping people work out and watching their lives transform."

"I found out that if a person trains with an expert who can help them reach and strive toward their physical goals that they can be successful at reaching their goals. I love helping people reach their goals! I also learned that exercise is one of the best methods of dealing with stress. I have a background in working with others and I enjoy helping people create a new positive in their life by working on physical health, which in turn improves their mental, emotional and spiritual health as well. "

"I know what it's like to put in an enormous amount of effort only to have the scale, or clothing, or even blood tests say that I'm not doing enough. It's frustrating, and I know I'm not alone. I know that there are other women out there, like me, who crave to be in the healthy weight range - who crave to have jeans that don't do the muffin-top thing, and who would love to be in a restaurant and not feel ashamed at what their ordering or eating because of the stories we've put in our heads of what the other patrons "must be thinking." I'm also one of those people who have done it all: pills (even prescription), fad diets, nutritional systems, groups, etc."

I believe that living life to the fullest is what we owe ourselves and our families and that our attitudes can shape our lives. Together we will transform your body and your life and improve your health and fitness for today so you can enjoy the active future you have planned."

"When starting out I believe in making small steady changes in diet and exercise routines that build upon one another. Eventually in time by building this way step by step, brick by brick, you'll look back one day and realize you've achieved something you once never would've imagined possible back when you first started. And I'd love to be there to help guide you through this process."
