9 Fan Favorites: Best On-the-Go Healthy Foods from a Certified Nutritionist

These Nine On-the-Go Healthy Foods will really hit the spot - without damaging your waistline.

Tons of people ask me about the on-the-go healthy foods I recommend. Now, anyone who has talked to me about food for any period of time knows that I'm not a huge fan of recommending Random Acts of Snacking (RAOS), mainly due to it's effect on our insulin levels and our digestive system's need for rest. However, that doesn't mean that you can't eat snack-type foods, especially while in the car! I don't know about you, but I can't stand bringing coolers with me. So on-the-go healthy foods really get me by, especially since, as an in home fitness trainer, I spend so much time in the car.

It's important that your on-the-go healthy foods are still providing you with valuable nutrition, minus the unnecessary junk, which is what can happen if we wind up at the gas station or driving through fast food.

Check out my 10 favorite on-the-go healthy foods that pass the nutrition test and can be included as part of a balanced meal.
