*Perfectionism is Keeping You Fat*
--------------------------------------------------------------

I find that many of the people who come to me expressing the want to exercise more consistently, eat more healthfully, trim down, and get in shape are harboring some faulty ideas about what it takes to make this change in their life. The number one belief people commonly have that is misguided is that you have to do everything “perfectly,” or else there is no point to following a program.

Perfectionism, which many people think is a desireable trait, can actually be what is keeping you fat. Learn why perfectionism doesn't lend itself well to sustained weight loss...and how you can overcome it. Click here to learn what you need to know about recovering from your workouts.

*Chew on this: Gum-chewing May Be Making You Hungrier*
-------------------------------------------------------------

Science has yet to prove this, but many people find that they feel hungrier when they spend part of the day chewing gum. There are two proposed reasons: one is that a sweet taste triggers insulin release in some people, which then leads to a blood sugar crash. The other is that the act of chewing sends a signal to the stomach to expect food, and the stomach produces gastric juices to prepare for this food. When the food doesn’t come, sometimes you are left hungrier than before. A side note: many varieties of sugar-free gum contain aspartame, which is a known culprit in increasing food cravings.

*Ashley Arpe has the Ability to Rehab an Injured Person and Turn Him or Her into an Elite Athlete*
-------------------------------------------------------------

Ashley Arpe knows firsthand that health problems are not a true obstacle to getting in fabulous shape--although they do make great excuses to not try. Learn why Ashley asked her mom for a personal trainer when she was just eleven years old...and how going through arduous rehabilitation as a child lead her to have a passion and gift for teaching fitness to others.

Quick Tip:

Drink ice-cold water for an extra calorie burn. Drinking 8 ounces of ice-cold water burns about 9 calories. If you drink eight glasses of ice-cold water a day you can burn an extra 72 calories per day…which means losing eight pounds of fat over a year’s time!
