Realize Health Benefits

The latest dietary guidelines suggest five to 13(!) servings of fruits and vegetables a day. To make eating fruits and veggies more fun, more enjoyable, and more beneficial, strive to incorporate at least one serving from each of the following color groups every day.

Blue and Purple

Example: plums, eggplant, blueberries Improves: blood vessel health

White Example: bananas, onions, cauliflower Improves: cholesterol levels

Red Example: cherries, tomatoes, beets Prevents: certain types of cancer

Yellow and Orange Example: apricots, carrots, oranges Improves: Immune system and vision
