"Fitness has always been in my life. I did gymnastics for 9 years and played many sports in my life, including basketball, softball, lacrosse, and track and field. I graduated from New England College with a BA in Kinesiology and minor in wellness. I spent all fours years in college playing lacrosse and becoming very familiar with the gym. Working out with my teammates and helping them achieve their goals really made me want to become a personal trainer. I love motivating others to achieve their goals.
I am a young trainer, but I'm filled with knowledge and I'm always learning new things. I will always find my clients 'goals' and think of creative ways we can achieve them. I will also find their weaknesses and strengths, in order to optimize their progress. I make sure to figure out what kind of training they will be needing because everyone is different and needs help in different areas of fitness.
favorite type of training is functional training. It not something most people get working out at a gym, because they don't know how to engage their core and have proper form. I
did an internship with Seacoast Center For Athletes in Somersworth NH. There, I helped train athletes ranging in age from middle school to college and also clients
who had just come out of physical therapy and were looking to regain
strength. We did a lot of balancing, core work and body
When it comes to 'diet philosophy' you need to be committed. Diet is probably the hardest part of health and fitness. Breaking your meals into 6 smaller meals can help your process of getting in all the nutrition you need each day. Healthy snacks and regular exercise can help you achieve your fitness goal. 'Exercises philosophy' is all about using the proper form before adding weight or more weight. You want to be doing the proper form so your actually working the intended area so your not doing any harm to your body when you add weight.
I am a very outgoing person--always upbeat and easy to be around. I love being outside. If it's a nice day you can catch me running in Portsmouth or around Dover. I've done a couple 5k but a lot of the time I'm lifting with friends at a local gym. I play in as many lacrosse tournaments as I can, and I also coach lacrosse for New England Select Lacrosse League U-13 girls, alongside coaching gymnastics at my old gym, Tri Star Gymnastics--where sometimes I manage to do some old tricks!"
