Jane Mazzone specializes in helping those new to exercise or those who need a jump-start back into fitness.
Jane has been in your shoes. She can help you believe that you can do it!
While many personal trainers were active in sports in their youth and basically loved fitness from a young age, this isn’t the case for Jane. "I guess you could say that I am a late bloomer!" says Jane. "Growing up, I never really thought much about exercise and nutrition. I never played any sports and was never on any organized sports teams at all. I figured that if I wasn’t really overweight-- then I must be healthy. We now know that isn’t true!"
"It wasn’t until I had my children that I really got interested in the healthy aspects of living," Jane explains. "Two kids and 30 pounds later I had my work cut out for me. I really can relate to people, who for whatever reason are struggling to get back on track. We are always putting everyone else first so it’s hard to finally want to take care of ourselves. I would like to be the one who can help you get back to or stay healthy."
"I truly believe fitness should be a way of life," says Jane. "I started a walk-to-run program at 43 years old. The goal is to be able to run for 30 minutes after 8 weeks. After accomplishing that goal, I proceeded to run my first 5K. I can still remember how elated I was to finish. I have run a few more since then, but I will never forget that feeling of accomplishment!! It was then I knew what I wanted to do—help others experience that same exhilaration. Now I know that if I can do it, anyone can!"
Since then Jane as studied to become a personal trainer and began working with clients at her local fitness center. Her motivation is for others to experience that same feeling of getting into great shape, even if they have never been in shape in their lives.
"I have the drive and conviction to help you--and your family and friends along with you if you like--to shape up and have fun doing it. Besides the standard resistance training and cardio, I love to incorporate stretching--my favorite part of the workout! I love to use bars, bands, balls and anything else I can come up with. It’s all about variety and keeping it fresh. I will be right there with you, keeping you motivated and making sure that you are successful at whatever your goals are--I look forward to working with you!"
