If you feel that you've tried every diet strategy out there and you just can't succeed, you're in luck. Diet hiccups are a little-known secret that can work for even the most struggling dieter.
1. Pick a certain number of days to follow any diet plan you choose. Most do best with between 3 and 6 diet days.
2. Go 'off' the plan on purpose the next day. Don't go crazy--but eat whatever you like, in whatever quantity you like, without stuffing yourself or making yourself feel sick.
3. Resume the diet days and use a one-day diet 'hiccup' after each block of dieting.
After all is said and done, in a given week you will have put together at least 20 diet days. This will allow for weight loss for almost anyone. It can be used with any diet strategy you wish, such as low-carb, low-fat, no processed foods, atkins, or calorie counting. On the 'off' day you don't have to follow the rules of the diet.
