2006 “Shape up by Summer”
As many of you already know, I am hosting a contest for Home Bodies clients, newsletter subscribers, and the general public alike. This contest has four categories but all fall under the umbrella of a “body challenge.” There is still time to enter the contest—It begins Monday, April 3 and we are accepting participants until April 7.
Although I am awarding eight First Place prizes and one Grand Prize, this contest really is about competing with YOURSELF to see if you can “step up” your dedication to your health and fitness plan for a 12-week period of time. Nothing but good will come out of challenging yourself to become more intense for twelve weeks: your clothes will fit better, you will have more energy, you will become healthier, and you will be happier with your appearance and proud of the way your body looks. You could even win cash! Perhaps you would like to take this opportunity to enter along with a loved one to help him or her get motivated.
Entering a contest is fun and it is surprising how much motivation it provides. You’ll feel like a kid again! I hope that the discipline, competitive spirit, and devotion to following your routines will result in such great things for you that you will CONTINUE your healthier ways even AFTER the contest ends on June 25. Even if you decide to relax a bit come July after pushing yourself for 12 weeks, your improved fitness level and the satisfaction and confidence you will achieve by working hard toward your goal will carry over for a long time.
Part of this newsletter is dedicated to outlines and introductions of the strategies you should employ to be successful in the contest category(s) you plan to enter. Even if you DON’T plan to enter the contest, they are useful guides to get the most out of your health and fitness routines and to increase your odds that you’ll achieve your goals. The articles will clarify the path you should be on if you truly wish to achieve certain goals, such as improved endurance and heart health or fitting back into the clothes you wore 10 or 20 years ago. It can be a lot of work, but the results are well worth it.
Each of the four categories (Bodyfat Loss, Body Transformation, Cardio Contest, and Strength Contest will result in a First Place Winner and Most Improved Winner. In addition, the overall “SUPERSTAR” of the contest, which will be a subjective decision made by Gina Paolino, will be the Grand Prize Winner ($500 cash).
I am offering $20 cash, OR credit toward training for any referrals that register
