Come join the adult gymnastics class that incorporates balance, flexibility, stretching, and strength. This is the perfect all-around workout that uses every muscle in your body and helps develop gymnastics skills. This class is fun, rigorous and challenging for the former gymnast or any adult that wants to experience an exciting way to exercise. Your body will feel great and your friends will be impressed! Everyone is welcome.
But here is the most important reason to take adult gymnastics class: It is SO much fun! Learning how to tumble, flip, swing, and come as close to self powered flight as is possible is a blast. Gymnastics is anything but boring - There is always another step to learn. It is possible to learn something new every single class that is attended. Every single time you will have had a great hour-long workout that improves your fitness in many ways.
Class Schedule for Fall 2019 - Spring 2020
Wednesdays 7:20-8:20 PM. Option to stay until 8:35PM. Drop-in basis; no sign-up or advance notice needed. Just come by, sign a waiver for first-time students at the front desk and you're good to go! Complete beginners are welcome. We have some most weeks in class.
Atlantic Gymnastics, located at 150 Gosling Rd. in Portsmouth NH. A few minutes off the highway and near the Fox Run Mall.
Class Cost (CASH only):
Pay-as-you go $15 per one-hour class, paid directly to Cori (the instructor) at the beginning of class. If you'd like to stay an extra 15 minutes for more gymnastics the cost is $20 per class.
What to Wear:
Comfortable athletic clothing, or a leotard if you prefer.
Who May Participate:
This is a co-ed class for those ages 16+. All levels from complete beginner to advanced gymnasts are welcome. We will cater your workout to your level, in a safe, fun and comfortable environment. You are never too old to start or continue gymnastics!
The class begins with a warm-up period that includes some stretching, floor basics and full-body conditioning done at your level. There is generally some floor, vault and trampoline stations and then some time is spent on individual skill work. A tumble-trak, resi pit and loose foam pit are available. You will work with an instructor at your own level from basic to advanced skills. We teach you at your own pace.
If you are nervous about giving this a try, no need to worry! We promise to make you feel comfortable. You will have a great time if you decide to come give it a try. We have students at all levels.
