Amy Langone is our personal Trainer to Billerica, Carlisle, Bedford, Burlington and surrounding areas will design an effective workout routine that works with your body.

Amy Langone is a specialist in Pilates, weight management, strength training, and injury prevention/rehabilitation.

"My passion for fitness began somewhere around age ten, in a small gymnastics training center in northern Massachusetts. Little did I know, over 15 years later, fitness would be my whole world. When I graduated from high school, my gymnastics coach at All Around Gymnastics Training Center in Salisbury, MA, pointed me in the direction of Exercise Science. I had coached younger gymnasts at the club for many years, and I knew that there was so much more I could learn.

For me, the thirst for knowledge of the human body, how it works, how we can improve it, is unending. I pursued my degree at Boston University, and started personal training as an intern at the Commonwealth Sports Club in Boston, MA, where I continue to teach group exercise classes even today.

I firmly believe in total, all-around fitness--being in shape isn’t just about one thing, such as a flatter stomach, slimmer hips, more muscle tone, or better definition. Being in shape is a lifestyle. I encourage each of my clients, regardless of their primary goal, to step back and take a look at the bigger picture of their overall health and wellness. While working on the primary goal a client would like to achieve, we also take the time to bring the rest of their health and fitness 'picture' into better focus.

It is incredibly important to treat your body well. I grew up competing in high impact sports, and I have already begun to feel the consequences throughout my entire body: I am paying the consequences in my neck, back, hips, knees, ankles, and wrists, for starters. Fortunately I have helped my body get back to a good place by exploring different training regimens including foam rolling, proper flexibility training, functional & stability training, and Pilates. Integrating these methods with traditional strength and endurance training has given me fantastic results, and my body is healthy. This past year, I even competed in my first sprint triathlon… something I never ever imagined I could do! It’s all about variety, really.

It is never too late to start a fitness regimen, and it’s never too early to be proactive. I have helped people of all ages manage their weight, lower their blood pressure and cholesterol, feel better about themselves. I have also helped many people improve posture and reduce pain due to bad knees, weakness in the shoulders, improper posture of the neck, and the oh-so-prevalent lower back pain. The time we spend day to day with our bodies contorted into the worst positions imaginable (typing on the computer, driving, and sleeping, to name a few) can lead the body into a seemingly irreversible downward spiral of bad posture. If you suffer from rounded shoulders, knock-knees, a protruding stomach, lower back pain, or neck pain, don't worry...There is hope!

I don’t believe in quick fixes, and I won’t let you believe in them either--fitness should be a life-long matter. But--Don’t let this scare you! Bringing fitness into your life can be so much more fun than you might think. Exercise in all of its different forms can be exciting, challenging, and empowering. Do not miss out on it!"

Here is what Amy Langone's clients have to say about training with her:

Jeanine Strafford, client of Gina Paulhus and Amy Langone, sent us this postcard over Christmas break:

"You are indelibly linked to 'weights', 'fitness', and 'nutrition' in my mind, and since these are so central in my life, that means I think about you a lot! And I am perennially grateful that I came across your website and am able to benefit from your expertise and experience.

Working with Amy has been great (she's incredibly knowledgeable and supportive), and my body and fitness level continue to change for the better. I have been able to keep my motivation up and feel better and better physically all the time. So thank you for that priceless gift!"

Jeanine Strafford, Cambridge MA
Graduate Student, Harvard University.
Lost 15+ lbs. and completed the Boston Marathon with Home Bodies.

"I am writing to say thank you for all you have done for me. While I was out and about in the 100-degree heat today, it came to me that I wasn't suffering from that greasy, miserable, 'fat' feeling. In the past I have avoided being outside in summer because my flab was so impossible to cover up. Today I was energetic and strong. I wasn't ashamed of my gut or behind. I worked up a sweat walking and working outside, but it was a good feeling. While I am only half-way to my weight goal, I feel 100 percent more healthy and balanced.

Thank you for sticking with me and helping me achieve a new level of fitness."
